We have PC in the living room that would work well for playing Uru and later maybe UruLive, so anyone in this house who would want to play Uru - let's say five persons if you include me - would probably be playing it on this machine.

Now, let's assume all five will want to play UruLive too. (Let's also assume that UruLive will be roughly 10 dollars a month.)

That's 250 bucks for the boxed game, and another 50 each month. Considering that two or more persons will never actually play at the same time (since it's only one machine), that doesn't make a lot of sense

So what I'm wondering is:

1) Will we be able to create multiple "accounts", i.e. we (buy and) install the box once, then create one account for every person?

2) What about UruLive - can one monthly fee work for multiple persons if they never play at the same time?

For you first question, I would be suprised if you COULDN'T do that. It wouldn't make much sense at all, and I don't know of any MMORPGs that make you buy the game for every account. However, you will need more then one account most likely.

Unless, of course, you can just create more then one character on an account, for a small fee. You could maybe pay an extra $2 or so a month so that you can have more then one person to explore with. Of course, no more then 1 character could be logged on at once, but that apperently wouldn't be much of a problem for you.

Of course, I'm just assuming based on experience with past online games...

The closest paradigm I can think of is Final Fantasy XI. In that online game, the monthly fee is $12.95 for one character, but each player can have up to 15 additional characters, for $1 per extra character.

However, that knowledge was available since its preview, so I guess that, if that were the case for Uru, we would have known, too. Perhaps, in UruLive, one can create as many characters as he/she likes, as long as only one character per serial number is online at any given time...?

Well, I don't know about the cost thing but Kha'tie and I play on the same computer. We each have our own account though. I put in my name and password, it updates my files and presto, I am in. Hopefully you will only have to buy the game once and pay a reduced rate for extra players ( since only one is on at a time).

The answer was not so definite  There won't be an exact answer to this until the Prologue has been running for a while.
