Oh, I was clicking through the http://latus.net/200.../is-it-art.html blog, and in the "It takes a Villiage" post, they mentioned "the age of reason" which, if I recall some Uru journals, is a D'ni thing, right?

Rand Miller likes Tomb Raider for the exploration, just like me. :squee:

I can't wait for their future projects. As long as they are awesome peaceful exploration adventures, I'm with them.

The interviewer says that:

Adventure games are making another comeback to the gaming scene it seems. More and more adventure games are published these days.

Are they? Where? What games, what have I been missing?

random... Is that Rand Miller's blog?... Certianly alot of people from Cyan are commenting...

The title of the blog is Posole, so I think it's obvious Posole has little to do with Latus itself, and Rand is using the domain latus.net for his own purposes (ie, blog), as the blog itself is being taken off of MillerBits.

So, I think Latus != Posole. Nor do I think it has any direct relation to it. I think the only reason why posole has any link to anything Myst (ie, through Uru and New Mexico) is because that region inspires Rand. It inspired Myst in some ways, it inspired Uru, and it's inspiring to him in other ways, I'd think.

As an aside, I like how he's using Posole in his blog title. I guess his personal definition of Posole is, essentially, taking reality, adding his own opinions and beliefs to it, and sharing it, much as, according to the title, you would Posole. So, Posole == Rand Miller's Blog! At least, that's my interpertation. :squee:

Oh yes, and from that interview with Rand, this made me smile:

The internet has been an integral part of the Myst community, the place where people could discuss the game, and form friendships. It's the reason that the Myst games have gone on as long as they have.

Latus is from Latin...

latus: the side, flank; broad, wide, extensive.

An "Extensive" game?

Go to Adventure Gamers and Just Adventure+ and find out.

And while you're there, tell them the interviewer said that. It'll make their day. ;)

Does anyone have any idea what the game will be about?

Not really... we haven't had any sort of indication, nor any screenies, concept art, or anything else that would give us a clue. I can't even remember if we know what sort of technologies they're using for it...

Basically all that's known is that it's not Myst, and I'm fairly sure that it won't be anything else we've seen before either. Something new at last! :squee:

I'm to lazy to check it up right now, but why do I have this feeling that I read somewhere that Robyn is involved in this too?

It is unbecoming to bump old threads such as this.

If you want to talk about it, please make a new thread. :arianna:
