Revelation Install Good - Yet Game won't start

I've installed / unistalled this game twice ... on two different systems ... both duplicating the problem ...

When I attempt to start the game, it loads the screen with the book then to a black screen ... after a few seconds it goes straight back to my desktop.

Here is the results when I ran the Check It from Uri's site:

This is a brand spanking new system ... less than 2 months old ... any advice to get this game going would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT:

After tweaking the Compatibility Tab to this:

I now get the screen where I can click "PLAY" .... HOWEVER, I now get an error message that says "Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application" even though Disc 2 IS in the drive.

Did you install the latest patch?

Try running the game exe manually. It should be in the bin folder in the game's directory.

Still getting the error message "Please insert CD-ROM ...."

Use a no cd patch? Other than that I don't think there's anything else that could be done.

Took some digging but finally found a patch ...

Myst4-103-nDVD.zip

Been playing alllll day :twitch:
