I'm in Noloben, I have followed the Bert Jamin walkthrough to the point where I draw the symbol from Esher's lab on the slate, drop it, exit bubble. When I do this bahro appears inside bubble, looks at slate, touches it, disappears (leaving slate on ground), then re-appears 10 sec. later, takes slate & places on pedestal, but the symbol is not drawn on pedestal.
I've re-drawn the symbol 10 times, following Jamin picture, as well as picture on pedestal in lab. Result as above each time.
I've repeated the whole thing from the beginning (at bottom of ladder, ladder not extended) also.
I've also searched the Ubisoft Myst V forum.
HELP!

See, this is why I don't like End of Ages. :twitch:

I had the same issue in Taghira. You have to make the drawing absolutely perfect.

Try dropping it outside of the bubble. Maybe you're confusing the game.

While you were in Esher's lab, did you draw the symbol on the slate and place it on the pedestal there? That's an important part of the process.

Thanks for the help all.
I tried dropping slate outside bubble, with same result.
I don't remember if I placed the slate (with drawing) on the pedestal in Esher's lab; I'll try that.

I went back into Esher's Lab & placed slate on pedestal, which solved the problem, but also caused an unusual thing: when I returned to the bubble after this, the symbol was already on the pedestal. I did not have to draw it, drop slate, then exit as before.
Thanks for your help.

Yeah, I'm not sure if the latter part is necessary. In other words, I think the act of placing the slate (with symbol drawn on it) onto the pedestal causes the symbol to appear on the pedestal in the bubble, and having a bahro pick up the slate is not necessary. Haven't tested this though.

If I remember correctly, putting the slate on a pedestal causes the pedestal's symbol to appear in the bubble, no matter what (if anything) is drawn on the slate.
