Riven boiler room

I have reached the boiler room and entered. I cannot go down the ladder. when I click to go down, I land up with the floor enlarged and can't go anywhere. Can someone help me? shnorbiz

Raise the platform. Got to the controls and raise the lever to the right of the window.
