Apologies from us at MYSTcommunity for the down time lately. Apparently the squees that work the servers weren't fed properly and went on strike. :D

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. :)

I was afraid that it was only me. But hooray for everyone being miserable instead of just me!

Also, for people no longer being miserable.

I know, that's why I've not been on as much of late– I'm waiting for everything to be fixed. It looks like we're good for a while.

Seems to have been good the last few days, although I was away from the internets for a couple of days there so if there was any downtime between Friday and Sunday I probably wouldn't have known. Fingers crossed that it's back for good this time! :saavy:

I didn't notice a problem over the weekend, though perhaps I just didn't try it at the right time...

Yes, I have an exclusive photo of the area where the server is housed, which might explain the down time:

How much would it cost to get new servers?

I really thought it was just me until someone on another website mentioned that they couldn't get on to here.

FYI, the newest server out time in beginning of August was because of payment problems. I was on a conference and only noticed, because a friend told me my email was bouncing (duh!). Turns out the server hosting provider cut the line on the server within 7 days (!) after first notifying us (chucker) that there's a problem. That's insane and totally unacceptable - esp. given that it's a monthly payment - usually, companies wait 2-3 months until taking things down. They were uncooperative, too. They would not even tell me what's wrong in the first place until I threaten to sue them. And that after Danny paid a cumulative ~7000 $ (!!!) in the last 6 years to them. I am so angry at them, and looking for a new provider.

Yeah, that's really bad. I had a hosting account (albeit a rather smaller one, just an account not a dedicated server) and when I stopped being able to pay for it it lasted a number of months before they actually cut me off. There do seem to be a lot of cowboys out there in the hosting and domain registration business though, you definitely have to know who you're dealing with. :/
