I'm in the garden, near the DRC notebook about the king who had the gardens "created". I'm trying to get that relto page that's on a ledge. I haven't played this game in probably a good two years, and I don't remember how I did it before. I just remember that there was a LOT of frustration in trying to jump onto the rock and then from there to the ledge. I can't even recall if I ever succeeded.

Is there an easier way to do this?!

Umm... I know there is a way to walk and jump up one of the spitting plants and jump from there.

Yeah, I've been trying to do that too, but I just can't seem to do it.

I remember that this was by far the most frustrating thing about URU for me, but I'd really like to get that page.

Peel and boil two or three pounds of potatoes. Drain, place in bowl. Add milk and butter.

Go to Eder Kemo. Attempt several times to jump onto rock without going over it.

Return to kitchen. Pound potatoes with Posted Image hand potato masher.

Attempt again to jump onto rock. Return to kitchen as needed and pound potatoes. Swear as necessary.

By the time you get from the rock to the ledge, you'll have a lovely batch of homemade mashed potatoes. They are much better than the instant kind, delicious and healthy (full of potassium and vitamin C) and a very therapeutic way of dealing with frustration.

(I only recently learned that it's possible to actually run right up that rock -- it's not necessary to back halfway up the slope and leap onto it.)

(Edit: Oh dear. Sorry for the bump.)

I finally got the page by jumping on the stupid plants and just somehow getting it right (after about a thousand tries). How do you run UP the rock? I've tried that in the past and was never able to do it. Do you have to do it in a certain spot?

There's a certain spot you have to run, and you have to jump, turn, and pause at specific strategic times. It isn't easy.

Is it easier than jumping up on those plants and then jumping across?

Well, with the illustrated instructions (sorry, I don't remember where they were from), it was much easier. Without them, I don't know. Someone had to have discovered it in the first place...

This is the rock to go at. The first time I ran at it from approximately this position:

But I've recently found it easier to walk-and-jump up onto it. The surface the camera-eye is facing now has the right slope.

Then do a very fast run-and-leap onto the ledge from this angle:

The first manyseveral times you may run right off the rock before you can jump. Keep trying.

I, on the other hand, have not the remotest idea how to get up there by jumping on PLANTS.

Thanks. I always used that rock to jump onto one of the plants and then onto the ledge, as I never seemed to be able to jump to the ledge directly from the rock (but perhaps I just didn't try enough). But I never thought of walking up to the rock and jumping onto it. I was always trying to jump to it (and usually went OVER it) from the slope.
