A little help please?
EDIT: And another question: In the island where people live, I rode the little thing up the tower type thing, next to the pool, but can't seem to ride it back down. I don't remember having this problem last time I played Riven. Is this a glitch?

Let's see. I have a very sketchy memory of these parts, but I'll see what I can remember.
It looks like the dome code could be individually generated for each game, so don't worry if yours is different.
D'ni to Arabic Numerals (I think you've done this part already, but just in case)
Numerals to Actually opening the domes
For the second question: did you do anything in between riding it up and trying to ride it down? That's the only thing I can think of as causing a problem (you're talking about the wooden structure that you get to by the sub, right?).

there are symbols that kind of look like this
in Gehn's journal
those you need to translate to our number system

I know. I tried that, it seriously doesn't work.

On the other hand, perhaps you don't count the slots correctly?

Perhaps. The taller lines on the panel are the multiples of five, right?
EDIT: Ah, I have found my problem. I got mixed up between 24 and 21. Now let me go see if this works...

Her voice doesn't sound more elderly, it sounds different. Waaay too different. It doesn't even have the personality of Catherine.

Well, see, Exile was the first Myst game I played with Catherine in it, so I sort of stuck with that actor.

She also develops a Cockney accent (out of nowhere) and says the most stupid unCatherine things ("I feel so.. scrutinized")

Ah, that would explain it. I also played Exile first, but, since I don't see too much difference between Riven and Exile's Catherines, it doesn't bug me.
