So, I was watching funny Myst videos on YouTube, and I came across a video involving clips of Sirrus, mostly from Myst IV, and a voiceover of Brian Wrench (Sirrus from Myst IV) doing some commercials. I wanted to watch the actual commercials, so I googled it and wound up on a site where Brian Wrench had posted his resume. As far as acting goes, he mostly seems to do radio commercials. However, he also talks about what he majored in. Apparently, he majored in mental health counseling, and his main job is working as a therapist! Now I've got this image in my head of Sirrus trying to be a mental health counselor! ;)

I completely missed that thread. I guess that's what I get for not checking in for so long! ;)
If you're looking for some Sirrus psychobabble from Uberlutra, you could use stuff from this old poll: http://www.mystcommunity.com/board/index.p...=27959&st=0. Maybe that would get Brian to join MC! :P

I need to redo all those analyses and make them into something more coherent and formal, though. They're from awhile ago and I didn't factor in the fact that the boys have reactive attachment disorder and all. I really should organize all my Sirrus psychobabble and send it to Brian Wrench and see what he says. Other than thinking I'm completely bonkers for spending that much time digging into the brains of a fictional character.

I'm tempted to bring up the boys in a paper for my juvenile delinquency class.

Sirrus the therapist pretty much made my life XD

Despite you knowing more about this than me, I'm forced to say: argh no they don't! ;)

Well now that you know that Sirrus is a therapist, you sure you don't want to change your major?

He might decide to invite you to Canada for treatment! ;)
We could compare notes if you want. Now that I've got all my gen ed credits out of the way, I'm focusing on my major. I took Psychopathology last semester, and I'm currently taking Clinical Psychology, so it would be good practice. Besides, I think we did a pretty good job last time, especially considering I hadn't taken anything more than a general psychology course and you hadn't even taken any at all.

I'm not sure who made the video you speak of. Might have been MonochromeMako, AKA Doahveh, but she mostly posts college vlogs now...

And I would be a happy person if Brian Wrench joined MC. It could only be better if Brad Dourif joined MC! ;)

So true! XD But they'd probably be scared of being spammed by too many fans ;)

It was her. There was another topic about this in 2008, and Brian Wrench actually mentioned that video in an e-mail that was posted in that topic.

Actually, he's only recieved a few fan letters. He was invited to join MC or go to Mysterium, and this is what he said:

Thanks so much for the double-invite. My concern is that I'd probably be a bit of a let-down for the Myst and Sirrus fans. I went to the Science Fiction/Horror/Comic Book Convention in Toronto this summer and heard Kate Mulgrew, who played Capt. Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager speak to the fans. She had a lot to say about the show and character. That was really interesting to hear. As for me, I did my research and consulted a lot with the writer and director, but have little knowledge beyond that. It was only a four-day shoot and one afternoon for the audio (not exactly 7 seasons on TV) so I don't see myself as having much interesting to say...
