Version 0.8.1 of the savegame editor and node viewer known as Revelation Editor has been released.

This version mostly fixes various major bugs. A more complete changelog is available here.

It is a recommended download for anyone who:
- was using an older version.
- has been unable to finish Myst IV because of two puzzles.
- just wants to explore the node without having to play the whole game.
- want to use it.

Hi Ya all youz people.

I love Revelation but HATE serveral of the puzzles which I'd like to skip by.....all theat "dream" rubbish for one thing !

I'd hoped that this program would be able to create saved games for me to use so that I could jump around in the game......am I wrong ?

It does seem to have a Load and Save function but when I try to use them my Windows 7 computer closes it down with a fault or the program itself shuts down saying it can't find a particular directory.

Is this a Win 7 issue as this seems a really great idea.

Thoughts.......?

No. That's what it is supposed to do. But you can also jump around using the integrated viewer.

What particular directory? Have you tried to create it manually?

Something like that. It's a mix between a bug and an inconsistency in the game. The bug is simply that if the savegame folder doesn't exist, it doesn't try to create it. (So, do it manually.) The inconsistency is that the save folder is not the same place in each windows version. That means you may have to move the files for them to be available in the game.
