Aw, Sim-me has no friends. :<

Friends come and go, you're self-reliant.
(25% chance that character LostThyme has gained the trait 'stressed')

Anyway, definitely need the 'Haggler' trait-reward-thingy.
I'll be down to 727 pointy-whatists, but who cares?

Actually, Lost Thyme rarely gets stressed, although she does get it more often than most of the group (lazy, fun focused group :eyebrow:). Gloa gets it even more, though.

Day 10: Something Different (as long as you aren't luna)
Posted Image
Something broke again? What else is new?

Allatwan: Why are we even naming these by days, again? That's silly, and you're probably going to miscount or hit another boring day again.

Gloa: Hmm...

Nyrunia: You guys are boring! I'm going to go paint instead.
Posted Image

Luna: Hey, that's my eagle! Easy! Esill! Easel! Whatever it's called. You can't even paint.

Shinkansen: That's a prerequisite?

--
Later!
Posted Image
Shinkansen: I am incredibly tired, but I really want to play catch.

Gloa: I know just how you feel.

Shinkansen: It strikes me as a fundamental nature of getting a baseball somehow for free, out of thin air.

Gloa: You mean like how Nyrunia visited Saavedro, who had a baseball, and then mysteriously came back with a totally different baseball in her pocket?

Shinkansen: Exactly. It's free!

--
The next morning!
Posted Image
Nyrunia: Going to work in my sleepwear makes me feel productive!

Lostthyme: Dear, that is your formal wear, which you jogged in, then slept in some nights, then spilled crumbs over...

--
Later!

Posted Image
Luna: At last! Someone having to fix everything who isn't me.

Posted Image
Lostthyme: Ha.

Luna: At least we're both suffering, and the rest of the family is off in their jobs.

Allatwan: Oh hai! I got a little hungry, why don't I make us some grilled cheese sandwhiches?

Posted Image
Luna: You can't even coooook!

Lostthyme: That's a prerequisite?

Luna: And you're supposed to have a job.

Allatwan: Nope, not yet. No openings in my industry yet.

Lostthyme: But I thought Gloa wrote that-

Allatwan: That was afterwards! I'm going to get the job soon, okay? Ah, to be a musician...

Luna: ...but... you can't even... oh, never mind.
--
Later!

Shinkansen: Nyrunia, can you move over so I can pull my chair out?

Gloa: She's blocking you from sitting down? I mean, isn't there a whole other side to the chair? Really, people.

Nyrunia: I'm washing hands. You don't like hands, though. You never feed hand.

Shinkansen: Sinks don't even catch on fire.

Nyrunia: Sure they do. Fire!

Because you have cheap stuff, and there's 7 people somewhat constantly using it.

and why is there a garden gnome in the garden :eyebrow:

Adalbert has been there for a couple of days now. You guys needed some decoration, and garden gnomes are cheaper than most things.

Shinkansen: Behold! This plant is a lettuce! It brings us hope of salad-y joy from our oft neglected garden.

Luna: Yeah, we have like two lettuce plants (both of which I planted and told you about). What a great garden.

Shinkansen: Behold! This other plant is also a lettuce! Our joy of saladness knows no bounds!

Luna: We could make salad already, from the food magically stocking the fridge. :tomato:

(By the way, notice how I forgot to move the pathway when I moved the door)

Gloa: Stealth stealth stealth! One must be stealthy indeed to be a superhero.

Luna: Why do I even live here?

Gloa: And let me gaze upon the stars!

Luna: It's the middle of the day! How can you be stargazing?

Posted Image
What? There's a star clearly visible in the day-aaagh!

Gloa: Doubt me not, for I see a meteorite striking down upon the firmament! Allatwan! I call upon you to investigate whether this meteorite is of Ahnonaynese origin!

Allatwan: Why me?

Gloa: I have no idea. You needed some lines in the story. I shall search too!

Posted Image
Gloa: I can conclusively say that the meteorite is not in this gym!

--
Luna: Nyrunia, why are you still home? It's not your day off.

Nyrunia: Yeah, but I got a promotion. Now I have a night shift.

Luna: What career here needs a night shift?

Nyrunia: Uh... sewer systems?

Lostthyme: That sounds highly-

Nyrunia: Oh, there's my carpool! Got to go!

Posted Image
Also, new uniform. Not as cool as getting your very own cop car.

Allatwan: Why is there a treadmill in the hallway?

Lostthyme: Gloa, you better not have stolen that from the gym!

Gloa: But I didn't!

Shinkansen: But that means we'd have to have paid for it!

Gloa: Indeed, we did.

Shinkansen: (faints)

In the dark of night!

This would seem an entirely dangerous idea if we hadn't fireproofed the thing.

Nyrunia: I'm back! Whee, being a thug - I mean, a sewer technician-

Shinkansen: Waste automated transportation mechanic supervisory engineer.

Nyrunia: -is very fun!

Nyrunia: But what... that is even more evil than I am! And more insane!

What do you guys use your free time for?

Gloa: Why, that title is a good question. Me, I focus on strength and finesse!

Gloa: Also, I watch the world for dangerous new threats to peace and justice using my advanced intelligence gathering techniques!

Posted Image
Bills, bills, aha! A Donation to Undermining Chess Tables for Toddlers World Wide - a threat!

How about you, Allatwan?

Allatwan: Lol, but I like reading. Also, going to parks and such - much less smelly, and things don't break as often.

Posted Image

Luna: Don't you have a job?

Allatwan: Yes, now I do.

Luna: What does reading books do to help you become a musician?

Allatwan: I learned handiness and cooking skills!

Luna: What.

LT?

Lostthyme: Sorry, I'm too busy writing to answer.

Annals of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire will be a beloved drama book.

Luna?

Luna: Well, I-

Nyrunia: She's like "blah blah blah work work, paint silly paintings, work work work all the time! No FIRE at all!"

Posted Image

...oookay. How about, uh, Shinkansen?

Shinkansen: Can we do this later? Seriously, I'm exhausted from my job in the Governmental Elective Control Opportunity Information Direction business, and all the random side trips for the other agencies wanting to know "Shinkansen, can you charm beetles with your voice?" "Shinkansen, can you make criminals into polite members of society with your voice?" "Shinkansen, can you divert bombs with your voice?", not to mention vampires...

Any better explanation of this?

... I just want to... so... tired...

I just came back to MC and three full pages of this hilarious topic. Count me in, please. :eyebrow:

You can use my deviantArt profiles for reference. I'm pretty much my sister's polar opposite; also, if you don't mind, I'd like to have the traits Computer Whiz and Friendly, just as a baseline. Everything else is up to you.

Evil counters with Good, Ambitious/Excitable... Couch Potato? Then throw in another Coward against the Daredevil, and add in Computer Whiz and Friendly. Should be an interesting polar opposite.

Oh, by the way, I haven't listed everyone's lifetime wishes yet, have I?

Gloa: Perfect Mind, Perfect Body - Mastering Logic and Athletics
Shinkansen: Swimming in Cash (50,000 simoleons)
Zenoc: Tinkerer - Mastering Logic and Handiness
Luna: Master of the Arts - Mastering painting and guitar
Lostthyme: Illustrious Author - Mastering Painting and Writing
Nyrunia: The Emperor (should be "Empress") of Evil (rising to the top of the Criminal Career, Evil branch)
Allatwan: Professional Author (earning 4000 per week in royalties)

Let's see, lays around indoors, cowardly but good-natured and friendly, and a whiz with computers. Yup, I'd say my character fits the stereotype of a professional tinkerer perfectly. :tomato:

She is. Lifetime Wishes are selected at the beginning based off the traits of a Sim, and they are basically just a giant version of regular wishes - you get a ton of lifetime happiness from fulfilling their lifetime wish.

Allatwan... well, I might use a Mid-Life Crisis Lifetime Reward to switch out that wish, since she doesn't look like she's heading the way of a writer at all :P (well, not one who makes 4000 in royalties - even 'Thyme isn't making that much yet). Same with 'Thyme having no experience with painting, and luna having no experience with guitar (but those can be worked around, I guess - I added another easel and another guitar for the family).

Nyrunia: At last, we ransack the science building for their solid gold statues of robots! Really, it's just waiting to get stolen.

Thug2: Those look like comfy chairs.

Thug3: Yeah. Hey, do you know where Bill is?

Thug2: Nope, 'cept that his "special mission" caused us to get dumped in with this loony girl.

Nyrunia: I wonder if gold sets on fire...

Meanwhile!

Gloa: An alarm! What is this? Gasp, a criminal! Taste my fist of JUSTICE-Ow! ow ow ow ow ow ow...

"Bill thinks Gehn is okay."

"Bill can see that Gehn is annoyed."

Officer Bishop: Aha! Relief is at hand! For Freedom!

Gloa: Guys, could you fight a little further from me? Really? I'm still injured here, okay?

Everyone else: Alarm!? What's happening? When's breakfast? How did Gloa get here so quickly?

Shinkansen: :eyebrow:

Officer Bishop: Yield! I yield.
Posted Image

Officer Bishop: I have been defeated.

Everyone else: D:

Luna: Don't you carry any weapons or something?

Bill: Weapons? Uh, maybe I should leave now. Uh, officer, could you get out of my way so I can make my speedy exit?

Shinkansen: We're being robbed! All our precious money... (faints)

Luna: oh, my nerves. A good time to take a break and read in the library.

Shinkansen: I don't like burglars.

Gloa: Indeed.

Nyrunia: Even the whole team didn't make as much money as Bill did, whatever his secret mission was. Clearly, strength is the way to rise up the ranks.

Yep. Nyrunia had a "stay away after work to help the gang at the science lab" mission that kept her from coming back right about when the robber came in.

I think he came through the door, because it was never locked, heh. :eyebrow:

Luna: Well, that robbery was an experience. My nerves are still frazzled. I'm glad I have such calming pursuits as the fine arts to follow.

Allatwan: Why are your paintings still so horrible? Aren't you leveling up in that skill?

Luna: It's a fact of life, Allatwan. You might as well ask...

Allatwan: Ask what?

Luna: Ask why we never change out of our sleepwear before leaving the house.

Allatwan: :tomato: XD, I never thought about that. Why don't we?

Luna: Well, I don't usually shower in the morning, and what else would remind me to change into other clothes?

Allatwan: Working out on a treadmill.

Luna: Oh yes, that would. Or going to my job.

Allatwan: Or playing in the sprinklers.

Luna: Indeed.

----
Later!

Shinkansen: Hey guys, I'm home. Oh, and also I got fired.

Luna: What?

Lostthyme: No, now only Gloa and Nyrunia are paying for my internet bill and publishing expenses!

Allatwan: Lol, why would they fire you?

Shinkansen: They found me Cooperatively Exploring Unique and Different Usage Vectors for Monetary Funding Mechanisms, heh.

Gloa: They caught you stealing funds?

Everyone: facepalm

Shinkansen: Then I went to the internet cafe and looked for jobs, and they rehired me as a Campaign Electorate Mission Directive Consultant again.

Luna: But that's only two levels down from where you were? Don't they realize what you did?

Shinkansen: Of course they do. They even issued me the same suit again.

Everyone: ...

Lostthyme: Okay, we need some order in this house! First off, bad Shinkansen!

Shinkansen: No, that's my older brother.

Lostthyme: Bad, bad, bad Shinkansen. We are very disappointed. Go fix the shower as punishment.

Posted Image
Wear your suit while you're doing it, to punish your coworkers.

Lostthyme: Second, we're going to put up some rules in this house!

Posted Image

Allatwan: So I can't enter here if there isn't a life guard? Do we have enough money to hire a lifeguard?

Luna: Why would we be splashing things? Or cannonballing? Shouldn't those rules be about burning things instead?

----
The next day!
Posted Image
Gloa: "Toys, flotation devices (water wings), snorkels and masks are not allowed unless part of an organized class or activity and U.S. Coast Guard approved. Use of all flotation devices must be approved by the Pool Manager.", well...

Allatwan: Yummy breakfast, compared to most at least. Well, I'm off to the park to practice my guitar skills in front of innocent victims.

Posted Image

Officer Bishop: Hey, you there! Do you know where your brother - or is he your father? - or spouse? - or housemate? Whatever, do you know where Officer P... ah, I mean Mr. Gehn Loa is? He's late for work today.

Allatwan: I don't know.

Posted Image
Gloa: Telekinesis achieved!

Luna: Gloa, did you have too much coffee with your waffles?

Allatwan: You know, pretty soon this will be my job - once I'm finished being a fan or a groupie. Nobody else gets to do frivolous fun things as their job.

You're leveling up - you are... somehow. There's still room to improve, and your one still life painting wasn't bad. You just happen to be picking rather silly painting subjects (did you pick Childish? That might explain why they are all rather childish themes).

Hmm... now I realize that the one deleted scene (or, more accurately, the "Gloa did not get screenshots of this scene and you guys won't believe it without them." scene) is going to be relevant for later events. Hmm, what to do about that?

:P Shinkansen/Allatwan romance. It indeed really happened in the game itself. Don't ask me how. Aside from a couple accidental escalations, it's not my fault.

Nyrunia: Come on... there's got to be some way to get that fireproof upgrade off...

Door: Knock knock.

Nyrunia: Who's there?

Zenoc Two: Hey, can you let me in? I'm sort of tired and hungry and all, being new to this house and all.

Posted Image

Nyrunia: Who are you?

Zenoc: :P

Gloa: Now there's even further than 5 people here!

Shinkansen: Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?

Gloa: But now we're even further from five! I could kind of expect one of you to die quickly from something, given the state of this house, but two is pushing it. Why do we have so many people now?

Yeesha: Seven. Seven in each Age. Seven here, in the desert.

Gloa: Shut up, Yeesha. You don't even exist here, and it isn't even a desert!

Yeesha: Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?

Gloa: Aren't you supposed to be nonexistent?

Shinkansen: While I am similarly confused at how Gloa is talking in his sleep, he does have a point. How are we supposed to keep yet another person fed and clothed here?

Zenoc: Easy.

Your collective bank account now has 16,000 more Simoleons in it.

Shinkansen: But the money!

Gloa: You're supposed to be asleep.

All the amenities of life.

Shinkansen: (faints)

Zenoc: But you were asleep...

Nyrunia: New stove doesn't light up with fire. :D

Luna: And it's not fireproofed yet! Now we have another unfireproofed thing in the house!

Nyrunia: :eyebrow:

Lostthyme: By the way, where's he going to sleep? We only have 6 rooms, and no more room for any more.

Gloa: Uh... how about we carve out something here? I mean, all he needs is a bed, a door, and a lamp hanging over his head, all sort of jumbled together, right? No need for any lavish extra room.

---
Later!

Luna, Lostthyme, and Allatwan: Yay, I can feel the skill points rising inside me!

Zenoc: You guys are weird.

Lostthyme: Oh, you're awake? Eat your breakfast, young man. It's part of the rules (which I had to add since everyone wants to read books or play computer games instead of eating and using the restrooms :tomato: ).

Posted Image
"Children under 16 must be at least eight inches taller than the maximum water depth to enter the pool without adult supervision..." Nope, don't see the breakfast rule here.

Lostthyme: So, Zenoc, what are you going to do today?

Zenoc: Well, first I'm going to learn the skills of handiness from the masters of the art!

Lostthyme: The mechanics? The engineers? The construction workers?

Zenoc: No! The military!

Everyone: Huh?

Posted Image
Almost pictured but covered by the hills: Military Base

Zenoc: Then I am going to watch our resident politician speak, so I can learn charisma! He's always practicing his important speech skills, right?

Posted Image

Zenoc: Er, maybe not. Well, in that case, I'm going to be learning the challenge of logical application in chess with our highest logic skill ranked person!

--
Slightly later!

Gloa: ...and the Loch Ness rule means that if anyone has seen the Loch Ness monster, they win instantly.

Zenoc: Have you seen the Loch Ness Monster?

Gloa: Yes, yes I have.

Zenoc: Aww...

Shiknansen/Allatwan romance. It indeed really happened in the game itself. Don't ask me how. Aside from a couple accidental escalations, it's not my fault.

Rather than explain my reaction through mere words, I shall use emoticons.

Also, it's a bit creepy, but I own a suit jacket and pants exactly like that.

Indeed.

That's the generic political career uniform for your level too, which makes it sort of creepier (I don't have a police career uniform [and most definitely not the vice squad uniform Gloa got in his latest promotion], aw).

The Next day!

Zenoc: Why was I the one plunging toilets here?

Lostthyme: Because the grown ups are busy, dear.

Zenoc: You're all the same age bracket as me. :eyebrow:

Gloa: No we aren't.

Zenoc: Yes we are! We're all Young Adult sims.

Gloa: Nope. I'm an Adult sim.

Lostthyme: You are?

Gloa: Yep.

Shinkansen: Why?

Gloa: Seniority priveleges.

Lostthyme: But you don't look older than us.

Gloa: I keep myself looking youthfully young.

Shinkansen: Really? What's your secret?

Gloa: Age Detail - off

Lostthyme: Amazing.

Zenoc: That's just a technicality, though!

Lostthyme: Zenoc, go fix the stove. You don't have a job.

Later!

Zenoc: Why am I doing all the work here? Luna doesn't have a job either!

Luna: Yes I do. I work at the bookstore part time.

Zenoc: That hardly counts.

Luna: I paint. I make beautiful paintings to decorate the house with.

t-rex?

Gloa: So do I, and I even have a job. I'm awesome like that.

Look at that. That's art. Also, apparently luna's painting wasn't a t-rex after all.

Zenoc: What about Allatwan, who isn't working until later, or Lostthyme? They just went off to the park, for crying out loud!

Dude, taxis are free you know...

Luna: Allatwan is playing guitar, because she's a musician. She needs the practice and fame. Lostthyme needs the fresh air or she goes crazy. You don't want to see that.

Heh, accidental resemblance. Green just happened to fit (especially since there were few other green clothes in the house).

So hey, most of you have enough Lifetime Rewards points for stuff, if you want to use them.

Allatwan - 11,336
Nyrunia - 20,210
'Thyme - 13,228
Luna - 39,783
Zenoc - 14,304
Shinkansen - 52,539

Shinkansen's Lifetime Wish was fulfilled, showering him with extra points. Nobody else looks really close at all (although if Nyrunia strives for it, she looks like she could be next).
