Riveal is my free extractor of sounds, movies, and pictures from an ever-growing list of games, including those in the Myst series. The new version of Riveal corrects a problem where a few of the pictures (mainly icons) extracted from the iPhone version of Myst were incompatible with Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).

Also new and improved in Riveal 10.0 are support for the Mac versions of The Manhole (Cyan's first game), Cosmic Osmo, and Spelunx, the Windows version of The Manhole: Masterpiece Edition, the Mac and Windows versions of The Journeyman Project 1 & 2 from Presto Studios, and (surprise!) BioShock for both the Mac and Windows. Admittedly, BioShock is unrelated to Myst or Cyan or Presto but it's a very cool game with lots of atmosphere, beautiful art deco architecture, period music, and an intriguing story.

The new version of Riveal can be downloaded from here.

Cheers Ron,

As always - a very useful piece of software that allows us to get content that would otherwise be hidden - much appreciated. :eyebrow:
