I'm planning a Hahr Nee celebration in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I'm planning for Hudson's Canadian Tap House (601 12 ave SW), but I need to figure out attendance so I can figure out if it's worth hosting. According to the D'ni date calculator the Hahr Nee should occur on April 21, 2011 at 07:09:03 (UTC-0700) which coincidentally is both the New Mexico and Calgary time zone! (How lucky!) Based on this, I've planned the party to start some time between 03:00 and 04:00. (These are all 24hr times by the way, so this is all in the morning.) So if you are interested, and you can be in the Calgary area on April 21st, please respond in this thread so I can add you to the guest list. If I can get enough people, maybe a hotel would be an even better option.

New year. Hahr is the D'ni equivalent of a year, and of course nee is new. As it says in the thread description "Because the new year comes in the cavern too"

off topic:

* puts on her D'ni teacher hat*

you actually knew "nee" or at least used it. As "D'ni" is in fact more correctly written as "D'nee" and means something like "new beginning". another example is "Kor'neeah" which is a "blank/new book".

*puts her hat away again*

On topic :

It sounds like a cool idea but unless mad things happen I won't be there.

(mad things as in : Winning a Holiday in the USA or the Invention of a Teleport)
