Window Media Player doesn't include all files it should

When Media Player collected audio files from my music library, it ignored some quite arbitrarily. Roughly half the audio files, when assembled into playlists, are skipped on the grounds that the file was not found. What could be the problem?

I'd highly recommend not using Windows Media Player, and it could simply be because WMP doesn't support the file type that those files use. Make sure you're running in Admin first, it may just be a permission thing.
