Riven wooden jewelry box

Here is another MYST' ish replica I did this week end.

Riven jewelry box :
Wooden box it from a wine box that I dismantled.
The hardware is from old metal parts (nail, L brakets...) I collected for replicas over the years.
Hinges are completely made of wood.
Completed with a wipe of acrylic paint for aging

I like that, I like that a lot - and the Myst book looks pretty cool as well...

The aging effect is fantastic. It really does look like a recovered artifact that could have appeared in the series somewhere.

Very nice, rivendagger. The hinges and chain (and all the other little details) are quite eclectic individually but together it's a really nice authentic looking style.
