Here's a analysis of the beginning of Myst. I'm always interested in seeing critical looks at entries in our beloved fandom, and especially ones written more recently. Most of it is stuff we've all probably put together ourselves, but I really liked the humorous and accessible writing style. What do you guys think?

I enjoyed the article. I especially liked the part about repeating visual motifs being core to the game. It reminded me that that's what I like about the game. The imagery by itself weaves a such a strong story without lots of dialogue. There's Sirrus and Achenar's cryptic messages and Atrus' journals, but otherwise you're left alone to draw your own conclusions from what you see.
