Hi friends,

Recently dusted off my copy of Revelation and ploughed through the game. I was confused by one element (spoilers, remember): the compass you can focus in on at the end of Haven. I didn't understand what connection it had to the rest of the game, compared with, say, the disc at the end of Spire that provided an important solution to a later puzzle.

Did I miss something? Thanks!

I don't even remember the compass.

I don't think the compass is important at all (though I too thought it would be at first).

If memory serves me correctly, the Compass is just something to toy around with, doesn't have any other function within the game.

Thanks, friends. It's a little strange that it was placed in such a parallel position to the disc at the end of Spire, almost like it's a red herring. (In fact, I had thought I had missed a whole arm of the plot--an alternate ending or something similar--after passing the game, simply because that compass didn't connect with anything. Sheesh! :blinky: )

I remember in one of the making of videos, they said that put a few things that are not really part of the plot but are just there to play with. The compass is probably one of them just like the pans in Tomahna or the crabs in Haven.
