Hello everyone, remember me? Of course you do.
I just wanted to let everyone know that as of tomorrow, June 1st, my blog series Myst in Retrospect will be available in its final, completed form. Essays have been polished and expanded, and a lengthy appendix has been added. The appendix includes a look at the music, the comic books, realMyst, and a feminist critique of the series.

Please take a look: http://hexagonbooks.com/myst/
Ebooks are available DRM-free from Gumroad, but are also available on the Kindle Store. I just approved the print proof and it will be available on Amazon within the next couple of days, I'm told.

And now, like Atrus, I could use your help. If you would be so kind as to leave a review on Amazon, I would be happy to send you the ebook version for free. You need not purchase anything. Just leave your review, shoot me a private message, and I'll give you the link to download PDF, ePub, and Kindle editions. Reviews help raise visibility on Amazon, so if you could take a few minutes to review the book I would really appreciate it! The Amazon page is here: http://a.co/21KMapC

If you missed the series the first time or just want to refresh your memory, you can find it online here: http://johnwallie.co...-in-retrospect/ But be aware, the versions you'll find in the book are slightly nicer!

That's all for me. I hope you enjoy the book, and forgive this bit of shameless self-promotion. Shorah!

Well, I have read this online so as much as I am enjoying reading it hard copy my opinion hasn't changed, John is a brilliant writer with a great insight into the games, this book looks the business and it is nice to be able to get all of his views and comments in one physical publication.
This will look great on my 'Myst' shelf once I have read it.

Well worth getting... ;-)

Thanks for buying it! I really appreciate it. :)

The paperback should be available from Amazon by now too, I just need to go back and edit the link.

Edit: Site updated. You can now purchase the book directly from Amazon, no need to go through CreateSpace. http://a.co/gqyoss0
