Hi there folks !

Just a wee note that may just be a personal thing or maybe not.

I've been unable to get my Riven purchased on Steam to work since I got my nice swanky Windows 10, 64 bit computer to run Obduction.

I've tried all sorts of forums and all sorts of settings with no luck.

Suddenly it now does work !

Not sure if Steam has changed or some magic has occurred.....but now it's working......loud cheers !

Gog I think switched over to ScummVM. Not sure if Steam did. I'm not a fan of it atm because it disables the dev console and removes the best Riven easter egg as a result.

I'm just glad to have it working at all.....lol

When I was on the GOG forum for Riven a clever user advised how to get into the Scumm options and this enablse you you put a filter on the graphics.

Normally I like to see things just as they are, but adding the filter over Riven's ageing graphics adds a nice softness to the game and improves the viewing experience in my option.

Still not sure if the videos are from the DVD or the CD version....peoples option on this seems to vary from post to post and from forum to forum !

One thing I don't like is the ScummVM team refuses to add back the hidden console that you can access in Riven, which has a nice Easter egg along with other uses.

Your honest best bet is to use either the gog version or the 10th anniversary version on an XP Virtualbox.
