  1. Hacked saves for DVD

    15 December 2017 - 04:58 PM

Does anyone have any of the saves working for DVD based on the hacked locations?

I'm mainly looking for the bookpress, the deleted temple island passage, and the lagoon deleted views.

I have no idea how someone made saves for them for the cd version, but that version no longer works on my pc and I wanted to show them off in game.
  2. Looking for Riven music NOT on soundtrack

    13 July 2017 - 11:07 PM

So a bit ago, I was searching for a way to get Riven working again in Windows 10 via the Ubisoft Anniversary DVD.

Tried a virtual XP, tried patches, nothing. Finally gave up and bought the Gog version. I wish it was based on the Hi Res DVD, but I never owned the standalone anyway so... meh.

However, at one point I came across a tool to extract audio and pictures from the game. No big deal, I've done it before. That's how I found the "missing island" glitch that no one would have seen otherwise.

One thing it pointed out however, is that there was music in the game that's NOT on the soundtrack CD. I can't find the site that listed the files or themes, though.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Also, I have to remember to test my hacked saves that restored "deleted" views of the lagoon and bookpress with this gog version. I know they didn't work the same on the DVD when I tried last.
