There are five true easter eggs in Myst IV. The correct way to see them (in game) is still unknown as nobody has posted instructions on how to do it.

Should I tell you how?

Since we don't have any big clues or even many feasible threads to start from (and, with reasonable effort, actually figure them out ourselves), I'd say yes.

There are easter eggs in Revelation? I'd really like to know more about them.

I found this site once that showed you where ALL the easter eggs in every Myst game were, but I forgot where that was tongue.gif If I ever find it, I'll be sure to post a link! I just thought everybody knew about it! tongue.gif

Yeah, easter eggs are something you have to work to see. Those are kinda just . . . there. And not very exciting.

They're indeed cameos, not Easter eggs.

I second the poll and the, uhm, Riven emoticon! biggrin.gif

Because our emoticons are almost all blue/orange spheres which aren't good for distinguishing specific characters. It would be hard to show that scene in a small area, while making what was happening and who it was clear.

Anyway, a 14-0 vote seems pretty good. blinky.gif

Add white hairs to an emoticon and make it sing.

14-0... not bad... not bad...

Should I post the infos?
and
Should I post them in this thread or in a new one?

With all of this buildup you're doing it must be something awesome.

Well, either that or this is all just a prank. tongue.gif

I'm afraid all I got out of that was the URL for your website. mellow.gif

The URL (or even the website) has nothing to do with the easter eggs.

For now.

Ooh... colors... with some meaning deeply buried inside them...
Click to reveal hidden content
My first guess would be a code. The lines of color dots are very convenient for that. They are the colors in Dream and associated puzzles, but that might just have been the colors chosen for that (being also major colors in image editing). The black (or dark) lines are rather large and irregularly sized to be symbols (perhaps dividers of some kind?), and would probably make it hard to map it to the floating spheres in Dream. Hmm...

Maybe it's just the lazy side of me but I think you should at least tell us in which age the egg is.

Is it a book laying down on it's spine with some sort of strap? "Keep it well hidden" gave me the idea that it could be some sort of book, although it looks more like a Christmas Present without a bow to me. tongue.gif

Maybe it's just the lazy side of me but I think you should at least tell us in which age the egg is.

Since realXCV mentioned 5 eggs, they could easily be on multiple Ages (unless they are centered around a certain mechanic, like the crystal imager - then again, even single eggs can span multiple Ages)

The name Very_special_gift.png might lend weight to the second interpretation.

It's a Christmas Present.

The only tools you need to solve it are paint and notepad.

I'm afraid there is no way I could figure out what you're getting at.

Okay, I'm going to throw out some random ideas.

Something tells me that it's not so much about the present as it is the seemingly randomly distributed color dots on the ground. Unless they're there as a red herring, but something is telling me that's not it. I've tried to make letters out of following one color of dots, but had no success. I've tried inverting the colors and flipping the picture every way I could, and even blowing the thing up to pixellated sizes.

This is tough.
